Kensington Aldridge Academy is a growing 11 – 18 academy situated in the heart of North Kensington.
We opened in brand new buildings in 2014 and our facilities are second to none. We currently have 540 students in Years 7, 8 & 9 with us, and are growing every year. Our Sixth Form, operated jointly with our partners Charterhouse and Godolphin, opened with 120 students in September 2016. Current Y11 students considering joining us for sixth form in September 2017 should click here.
KAA is a school which has the very highest standards – both in terms of academic teaching and life beyond the classroom. In our first year the Department of Education reported we are “one of the best new academies they had ever seen” in terms of our planning and curriculum development. Miriam Rosen, former Chief Inspector of Ofsted, said, “KAA has got off to a remarkable start and is already securing highly positive outcomes for students.” We look forward to our first full Ofsted inspection in due course and aim to achieve ‘outstanding’ in all areas.
All staff at KAA work tirelessly to ensure students are happy at school and committed to being the best they can be. We demand a lot, setting high standards for students and staff, with a ‘no excuses’ approach to attitude, work and discipline. But we also provide careful support. Because we currently have just four year groups and are growing gradually year by year, KAA teachers are able to know every student as an individual and closely nurture and challenge them all.
Our website holds plenty of information for students and parents – our curriculum pages, information about our partners Godolphin & Latymer, Charterhouse, LAMDA and RAD, recent videos and news stories, our prospectus and Sixth Form prospectus, current vacancies and details of all other elements of life at KAA. Prospective parents and students should visit our admissions pages for details of our upcoming open days for September 2017 entry into Year 7 and Sixth Form. Prospective teachers should see our recruitment pages.
