It is our aim that every child that leaves Ladybird does so with confidence, independence and a love of learning but above all knowledge that school is a really fun place to be. When they bounce through the door in the morning with a big smile on their face then I know our journey together has begun.
The Ladybird Nursery School, which opened in 1975, is for children from the ages
of rising 3 to 5, and is registered by the local council. The school is situated beside St Jude’s Church with direct access to the beautiful gardens which we use on a daily basis, weather permitting. The nursery school comprises of 3 rooms with a maximum of 15 children in the largest, the children are then divided into groups within each class and each child is assigned a key worker. Every member of staff holds an accredited Early Years qualification.
The School is open from 9.00 – 12.30. We also run separate activities in the afternoons and the first week of the holidays. Children do not need to be attending the morning school in order to join afternoon and holiday activities. The premises are also available to hire for children’s parties if they have been or are at the school.
Little Ladybirds is for 2 year olds and is on a Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday afternoon from 1.45 – 3.45.
