The World’s End Radio is a local based project run bty the WELR Big Local that aims to create a series of Internet based podcasts and videos produced by young people from the local area. These podcasts will become available to the general public via iTunes and the WELR website itself.
The idea behind the station is to give the youth in the local area a platform to develop their own voice. Moreover participation in the project will afford access to training in various skills (presenting, scripting, recording, production, editorial skills and web development) which will be useful in furthering their careers if they so choose.
Update – We now have 11 young Big Local residents who have signed up who are involved in the first stage of the project.
We will be adding the first podcast to the website very soon ……………. Watch this space!
